Can't believe i'll be getting on the plane in Vancouver in 4 degrees and pouring rain, and getting off the plane in Auckland (missing an entire day along the way!) to temperatures of 23 degrees! Still packing, got the cozzies and suncream, don't know if there'll be any mosquitos, can't find my scuba card but got the log books (dating back to 1979!), and just hope I've packed the right stuff. Need a new pair of Reef flip flops but cant find them here - NZ should sell for sure! Mmmmmm.... flip flops - no more boots and socks.
Flight leaves YVR at 7pm Sunday and we land 6am on Tuesday - never did like Mondays anyway! So, next time I speak to you all it'll be after my afternoon sail on the America's Cup Race boat - hoping to go as crew and have the briefing beforehand! Will be sure to have my camera safely stuffed in my dry bag, and if the adrenalin's not too overwhelming, I should get some great shots. Never done any racing so I'm totally pumped. Wish me luck..................see you down under!!!
